Becky Johnston started "stuff and things" in the summer of 2004 after a life-long love of "paper stuff". She had been creating invitations and notecards for years, as well as spending way more money than she should in every stationery store in the state of North Carolina... and where ever else she could find while on vacations. Finally, after toying with the idea for quite some time, her super-supportive husband encouraged her to make it happen and "stuff and things" was created. Now paper and ribbons have taken over their apartment and he begins to wonder if it was such a good idea...
After creating a painted chair for a friend's new baby, she realized that "painted things" should be included in this venture. Every time she was in a specialty store which carried hand-painted products, her mind always raced with ways she could recreate them. She's painted birdhouses, bookshelves, Christmas ornaments... anything that can be painted, she'll do it!
